Things to Do this June
Now that June is finally here we are ready to have the best time we can and make the most of the Summer! Sometimes it can be hard to find out what kind of events are going on in the area.
If you are an adult that likes to do “Adulty” things like wine tasting or going to a brewfest then there are events for you. If you are a young family with kids and like to go to festivals then summertime is probably you favorite time of year! As Oregonians we spend so much or our year with rainy weather that we like to get out and enjoys the nice weather as much as possible! Here is a small list of events going on in our area this June!

Coelho Winery Father’s Day Oyster Roast
Sunday, June 16, 2019 – 12:00pm to 4:00pm
Join us for this special combination event to which the both general public and Wine Club are invited. Wine Club members, pick up your June shipment and hang around for our annual Father’s Day Oyster Roast. We’ll be out on the grill, grilling local oysters and we’ll have lots of cold Pinot Gris to help them down with maybe a bowl or two of our awesome clam chowder. Hotdogs for the kids. Finish up your feast with a strawberry shortcake.

Children and Teen Book Sale

Friends of the Salem Public Library is hosting the Annual Children and Teen Book Sale. All children’s books are 50¢ each. Great fiction books for the adults are 75¢ paperback and $1.25 for hardcover. Friends of Salem Public Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Golf “FORE” Kids Tournament

This will be a best ball scramble with a shotgun start. CASA of Polk County, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Non-profit organization that solicits, trains and supports volunteers to advocate in court for abused and neglected children of Polk County. $85 per player; $340 per team.
